Brutalism - A very distinctive style of which the National Theatre is an outstanding example
Brutalism is an Architectural style that is probably not to everyone' taste. But, the National Theatre is a fine example of the texture and geometric shapes that can be achieved using concrete. Unfortunately, on the day I took these photos the light was very flat. But, I think that they show what an imposing and impressive building it is. It's neighbouring building owned by IBM is of the same ilk but for me anyway does not have the same presence as the NT.
